I'm putting a drip irrigation system in my mothers garden. Stopped by the hardware store today - picked up a meter of 25mm (black) irrigation pipe, and various fittings.

Stuffed the small stuff into my pockets, slipped the slightly curved irrigation pipe down the back of my jacket, with the end hanging over my right shoulder so it wouldn't scuff my helmet.

Riding home, and the kids in a car in front of me start going freaking crazy - from their perspective, all they could see was a bad ass biker with a sword strapped to his back.  ;D

Cheap mod, too. $1.05 a meter.  [thumbsup]

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Ah, ask a Ninja - all time great youtube series!  [thumbsup]   I'm pretty sure he'd rip my throat out if he found out I was impersonating a ninja, so I might keep it to myself.

Seriously though, would ANYTHING be cooler than a ninja on a monster?  [beer]

Is the bokken used to fight off evil nails and other sharp road debris [cheeky]
Desmosedici - it's the new Paso (except the bodywork doesn't fit as well)

Wonder if that girl would have rear ended me if I had this guy's setup. I doubt it...

What are the rules on this anyways? I guess it varies state to state but if, for example, you are allowed to buy a shotgun in New Hampshire, does that mean you can strap it to your back on the bike?

Autostrada Pilot

Depends on the state and their laws on open carry.

I know in Utah you can carry a gun on your hip (or anywhere else in plain sight) pretty much anywhere in the state.

Just curious but what are you practicing? I do kendo down here in Australia.

This place feels nice. Black S4RS, CRG Barend mirrors, vented clutch cover, gold clutch plate, gold pazzo racing levers, full 50m termi system, little carbon extras....oh yeah ...almost forgot....ban corporate coffee!

Open carry doesn't generally apply to long arms.

It really depends on the state is right though.

Many places, it would be considered "brandishing" even if you had a carry permit.  Also, the fact that it's an AK  WITH a magazine inserted and not a hunting rifle might make LEO more touchy about it.

Either way, I wouldn't do it unless it was in a soft case at the least.

Aikido.  We use the bokken, jo and tanto for weapons work.  I actually just read a book tonight that was discussing how the US is showing a lot of interest in Kendo but the sport gets rather expensive (approx. $1000 for protective armor alone.. http://www.e-bogu.com/Kendo_s/178.htm ) and we don't have many instructors here yet.  I was saying that I got a job offer in Japan a few weeks ago.  I was going to take up Aikido along with Kendo.  It looks like fun stuff!
