Hey look I just joined and already I'm giving advice!

First thread I look at there are missing pictures, which is pretty usual on boards like these. So I'm just going to make a suggestion that will improve this egregious and annoying situation. It's especially annoying when looking at old 'how to' tech threads with missing pics, they're usually from photo bucket type of places. Anyhoo I'm going to suggest a site that is not only free to use and very reliable, but you do not even have to join it to load up some photos to link to.

They give you a variety of links, you can make a gallery, or get a direct link or you can get thumbnail code for forums, and they won't disappear. Unless someone attacks the internets with an electromagnetic bomb, it should be good forever.

So why not make this a sticky and say goodbye to missing picture annoyance.

It's up to the poster to keep the pics on the hosting site. It doesn't matter which one.

The only surefire method to keep pics around is for us to host them, which is not going to happen.
