Loctite 272 goes to 450F and may be sufficient.  Rocksett is what you use if you never intend for it to come off.

I'm pretty sure they were doing a full on failure test. I believe the Marines or Military in general is looking to use suppressors on belt guns. Test it to total failure so you know what your product will withstand. That way you can let Uncle Sugar know.

At the very least they shoulda slipped a pipe on that red-hot barrel and bent it to shoot around corners.
