Yes. The plan is to be at your place by 0600. PM your address to me. Alvin will bring his bike over tonight and meet me at my place in the a.m.

I'm a little concerned about my tire condition, they say 75%... I think I need someone to take a look at my tire as I don't want to have to pay someone on site some outrageous price for a tire when I could've gotten hundreds or thousands more miles on the one I've got...

If you have at least 50% left on the tires, you *should* be fine riding on them.  Just be easy on the throttle coming out of the corners, and leave the trail braking for another time.

For those who can make the ride down to MSR-H on Saturday, Texas Track Days will have a spectator lap around noon.  You get the chance to get on the track for a few parade laps during our lunch time.
If you are on the fence about doing a track day, or just want to see what it's all about, this is it.  Passengers are welcome.
In order to participate in the spectator lap, you'll need a full face helmet, gloves, jacket, long pants, and boots that cover the ankle.
This is a parade lap, so no hot lapping and no dragging knees around the corners.

I want to make a run out there after August sometime, hopefully a full Saturday will open up sometime in September or October.  [moto]

IF and only IF (allegedly) you happen to own an Aprilia, you can attend a Freebee care of AF-1 in Oct...(thanks Frank for the heads up)....don't own one?  Sorry....(AF1 Rules).

The AMA (FIM?) SuperMoto championship is running through the streets of Austin that weekend too...and apparantly be testing on the track that day....Frank you could give 'em a few pointers, yes?

Joe, Frank, Vince...uh, Arkansas?  I've been talking to a Ming-er about routes....interested?

I'm sure they'll run some other track days those months.  ;)

Arkansas in the fall sound groovy.  [thumbsup]   I'm game so long as Jay (Bruto) comes along. That dude brought just about everything we could think of needing. You could learn a thing or two from that guy Paul.  :P

So long as Alvin and I leave from my place by 0545 we should arrive at your place as scheduled  by 0600. See you in the a.m.

Jeebus, it was hot out there.  Don't think I'll be doing another August trackday for awhile.

Other than Vinucci smashing his thumb unloading my bike, everyone and their rides went home in one piece at the end of the day.  And everyone seemed to be having fun, despite the heat.  So I guess our goal was completed.  Thanks to all those who attended.  Hope you guys had a great time out there.

Some pics of Saturday from another board...

That may be Paul rounding the cones...

Ducky second from the right (don't be ascared)...

Chill took a lot of photos with Chris' camera (thanks dood!) so maybe those will be posted up soon.  David got some lean angle and scrubbed in his tires good.
Vinucci got passed by a pink bike with spangly streamers (sorry man, just had to throw that one out  ;D)
Paul, I have your air pump and gas cannister.  Will try to get it to you this coming week.

Man, nice picks.....Vince's finger, uh, this time didn't involve a "Camera" I hope?  No pics of the "Chill"?  No picks of the "Frank"?

Roger Dodger on the HEAT...10-4 Frank, no more till autumn....

Joe, Il Bruto has moved on...he's in the land of SoCal roads...Laguna Beach, I think...packed up (!) and left us for California gold........gonna miss that guy and his tupperware full of "oh just about everything"

Everyone really looked to be having fun out in the track yesterday. Was nice to see a paddock area full of Ducs, err along with a cheapo Honda with tire warmers on (garage queen)[laugh]

The heat was BRUTAL though and someone's tire warmers prevented anyone from getting relief with the fans.  >:(

Would be fun to organize another outing in the fall when the weather's cooler.

Paul, why in the heck did you let iL Bruto split with his magical tupperware dood?? Shoulda swiped it before he left mang.  [laugh]

Yeah, definitely fun times.  Many thanks to Chill, Red5, and Vinucci for spear-heading this event.  This is going to be an expensive addiction  ;D The heat with black gear is torture.

Ok, when are we going to Arkansas?

Chill, Red5 & Nucci,

Keep Gone Ape and myself in your sights when putting the Arkansas rode trip together...  ;D
