First race complete. Theme... not so much. Couldn't get the Bosch K-jetronic CIS to work until I got to the track. A friend lent me the key part to fix it.






It ran all weekend except for the part where I had forgotten to tighten the lug bolts and a wheel spacer fell off.

Yes.

Heroic fix.

To clear the roof bar I had to put in the cage to clear the head of the tallest driver. I didn't find out he didn't fit until after the cage was in.

Holy shit. My English apparently got lost.

To clear the head of all drivers, I had to adjust the top of the cage. No drivers (except for our one arrive&drive) actually fit given poor design choices...

Diesel power is happening. I spent the day installing the head, injection pump, etc.

why is this a good/bad idea? a: diesel. 2: it bolts onto the Porsche bits. C: LeMons.

That is the stand-in.

I'll take some more pics tomorrow, it's coming out so we can make the flywheel and pilot bearing holder, finish weld the motor mounts, and hopefully put it back in.

Then it's radiator hose roulette, an air filter, exhaust, a little bit of fuel plumbing, new tires, cut a big hole in the hood and theme. Kind of in that order.

I think I fixed the pictures... they now show up on a separate browser where I am not logged in. I don't know why the same technique didn't work a few posts ago.

That frequently happens with Google images.

I think they move them around on servers which makes a hotlink go bad.
