Unless someone is throwing a boat load of cash at him, why Moto America? Good racing but not what the AMA was when Ben left.  I'd love to see Ben come back but this seems strange to say the least.
Don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

Moto Gp is still trying to unload all that leftover Spies merch.

IMHO MotoAmerica is perfect for Ben. It's a short season (10 races) and it's not as cutthroat as MotoGP. He should still have the skills to be competitive and maybe make some cash. MotoAmerica also needs another bankable name with international racing experience.

my keyboard just served me with paternity suit.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Ben race a mini-bike. Maybe I'm wrong but I justify don't get a sense that Moto America/Factories aren't paying big money.

Anyone know what the top guys earn in MA?

He might be able to negotiate directly with the MotoAmerica owners for a piece of the action. Ben is still one of the top riders in the US due to his age and experience.

What are the chances he'll be riding/developing th Stradale in the series. Doesn't Ducati normally develop a new SBK in national series before they throw it in the large league?

If he makes a comeback, I will likely go watch the Road Atlanta race next year.

Is a ~1100cc L4 bike allowed?

They would race a 1000cc short stroke R/Corsa version.
