Was watching some YouTube vids of blokes getting great deals on various firearms (longarms) at Walmart.

Shotguns for $100 or so! Amazing!

Admittedly, the quality wasn't the best, but for a truck or knockabout gun, you have heaps of options! ðŸ'ðŸ»ðŸ'ðŸ»

I guess there's a plethora of manufacturers there. We have Lithgow Arms that makes great quality rifles and has recently secured a deal to get semi auto rifles to your market. IIRC, they're a version of the Aussie military rifle!

I'm not sure how our military rifles go in the real world of combat. kopf????

They have pretty much all the goodies out there. I’m not a fan of their service rifle (Austyer). Not sure how they feel, but I have an idea. The selection process they developed, was adopted by our SF. I’d like to thank them for the torture I went through in selection....twice.  [bang]

Now that S&W has come out with the M&P2.0, prices on the old version are cheap.  I just picked up a 9mm Shield for $239 shipped, and it qualifies for the "bonus" from S&W -- sending me two boxes of ammo, and an extra mag.

It's a market thing. People thought the election would go differently (not getting into the discussion, just referring to the phenomena)  and manufacturers ramped up production and are now selling off the surplus stuff that didn't sell.

The price of a full AR15 rifle is now as low as $350-375.  Unheard of.

Just finished teaching a 4 day class at WOTG. Solid group of guys, mix of Military, LEO and civilians. 2 days of carbine and 2 days of pistol. Good times.
