We got about a foot yesterday.

Same. This is the point during winter I start to really miss motorcycles.

Same on the coast.....with a nice ice finish to top it off.  :P
Never wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and the pigs like it...

I *should* have run mine a lot more than I have this year. I kinda have the make the beast with two backsits toward the snow this year.

I got a new to me snowblower this year, and I'm trying to get used to it. It's very different from the tracked one I had. It steers harder. The tracked model was trigger steer. I get the make the beast with two backsits right around the beginning of March. It won't be around long, and if we can drive through it no harm, no foul.

Got warm, and rained all day yesterday.

Cooling off now...guess what...skating time. :P

What is it with human beings and snow?  Used to live in Rochester NY....started snowing 24/7 in mid-October and didn't stop until April. It was unbelievable...but everyone tolerated it because "the summers (2-months long) are great"...Used to live in Mobile, AL - coldest it ever got in winter was mid-30s at night in December, up to 60 during the day and warmed through Jan and Feb...played a lot of golf, even though the grass was 'brown'.

Point is - I never realized the physiological toll the cold winter takes on a person's body -- not spending a few winters in the 'deep freeze' while living in AL were very revealing.  Screw all the macho talk....I'll be heading south as soon as I can retire....maybe even sooner

I'm staying out of 'the waiting room'. I can't imagine a place I'd like to be less.

Maybe I'll get a few more years that way. :P

It's what you make of it.

I lived for a decade in California-last couple years in socal.

Not a lick of appreciation for a nice day because they all were nice.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

A day is as nice as you make it.

Nate had a word for it...  Starts with a P... ;D
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

I used to feel the same way and never would have planned it, but after living there found that I (a NYC native) actually enjoyed the Redneck Riviera and Cajun hospitality...no synthetic  "Villages" full of oldsters having planned fun.  Fairport, AL, was one of the nicest tiny-little towns I've ever seen -  a hint of SF on the Gulf of Mexico.

More snow tomorrow here in PA....I'm hearing up to a foot around Tobyhanna  ;D

Well, it looks like it might be 65° on Tuesday.

Arctic before and after of course. It's sort of cruel.
