With over 130,000 km's on the 01 monster I need to give her a break from touring duty. I picked up an 01 ST4 for a couple years, the ST position was killing my 51 year old neck and shoulders. I sold it and went back to touring on the monster, which it still does really well for me, but it's not so great with the wife riding pillion.

So, I picked up 2010 990 SMT about a month ago. It's my first KTM and I gotta say, it's pretty damn fantastic.

Congrats! Those SM-Ts are such cool bikes.

I took my old SD out for a spin today. Been a while since I had ridden that bike with anything resembling anger.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.
