my question would be...if it's illegal, why did race direction, meaning Danny Aldridge, not simply tell Ducati that it was not permitted? He doesn't seem like the bashful type.

Apparently the bulk of the MotoE hardware burned up last night in a pit fire at the test in Jerez.
They may be able to get the band back together for LeMans.
