Has anyone been here?

It's about 60 miles from Florence and I might have a few very short hours to get there when I head that way in Sept.

Any insight?  I won't ask if it's worth it on a tight schedule because.... Ducs.     ;)

I wager Lars has been there.

I have, but also haven't. I almost have.

Visited the factory ~four times. Only once with a plan. Tried to join a factory tour group twice, but no. Tried to enter the museum once, but it was closed for VIP's (during the extremely busy World Ducati Week). The other times I've been so warm after long days on the bike in up to 105F that I didn't bother.

Last year I booked a factory tour. It was nice and quite ok if you're in the neighbourhood. I'm not a Factory Fan Boy, but still glad I went. YMMV

The museum is probably more of a WOW experience. I'm going there July 16./17./18.

My opinion is that you can't not go if you're that close [thumbsup]

I saw the Wednesday hours (rather:  lack of) and luckily I arrive early afternoon on Thurs 9/12.  Hoping to make it there before they close after I dump the steamer trunk off at the hotel and find best transport to the museum.

Have fun Lars!
