I have a S4R Testa, after a couple years of trying to find factory Ohlins forks for this bike I've concluded it's just not gonna happen. Used to be able to buy Ohlins R&T forks for Monsters but apparently not anymore. Sometimes I'll run across some 1200S Ohlins for sale used on eBay. Does anyone know if these would fit an S*R Monster? I know it's about more than clamp diameter there's travel length and axle diameter and brake caliper mounting. I don't have any data on the forks for the newer Monsters.

I know I could just send the stock forks out somewhere and have them redone but I want the TiN of the Ohlins forks not for just the look but the harder surface treatment. I like the gold uppers also. The stock silver just doesn't look as good.

Pre 2017 1200S forks are not good at all. Almost no adjustability and waaaayyy soft. Same goes for the R. I think their diameter create problems...

The harder surface isn't that important? Looks cool, but.....

How about gold or black anodizing stock tubes and get really good inernals?  [thumbsup]

Have you called Kyle racing? They are the importers of Ohlins. They have rebuilt the suspension on my monster and 1198 and tuned them at the track days they attend...

When I was doing my “Scrambler” tribute 10 years ago, I had Ohlins put their cartridges* in my SBK forks. In the end, changing the whole front end was easier than modifying the crappy OEM forks to accept the Alpina wire wheels.

*When I did it, the tech at Ohlins told me it was the last pair of SBK cartridges in existence.

ETA: When I called Ohlins, I was looking for R&T forks, but they were NLA. But the tech said “Hey, but we have one last pair of cartridges for the Showa SBK forks.”
