True, but using that same logic you could assume that his seat is in jeopardy due to the young talent, like Miller. Even though he and Gigi have a weird relationship, I think he's gained enough good will with others within Ducati to at least block them from going after JLo.

I think his seat is in jeopardy, as is Petrucci's.

Zarco will be the wildcard in all this. If he can wrap his head around the Duc and get results, none of them are safe.

Agreed! I believe Petrux’s ride is already gone. Unless Jack completely make the beast with two backss up this year, he’ll be wearing red next year. Petrucci will have a hard time finding any bike in MotoGP next year. Zarco will be eyeing Dovi’s place, but it would have been lunacy to even contemplate bringing back JLo, even though we all know that lunatics run Ducati. I’m sure Gigi at least proposed it.

I don't think Lorenzo has it in him to race anymore so not sure why Ducati would pursue him.

I don't think that's true at all. Lorenzo going to HRC is similar to Rossi going to Ducati. The Ducati of 2018 was arguably the best bike on the grid that year. The 2019 Honda is comparable to the POS bike Ducati gave Rossi. Lorenzo has always depended on having a bike that suited his riding style. I could see him be very competitive on the Suzuki for example. Ducati would pursue Lorenzo because Gigi loves him and probably thinks that if given a bike that suits his strength, JLo would be able to fight for the championship.

The reality probably is that Lorenzo has always wanted to go back to Yamaha, but with no Rossi.

This has no impact on me since I subscribe to the MotoGP videopass, but it's welcomed news to those that had to pay a considerable amount to their cable providers to get BEIN coverage added. Now I would greatly appreciate if NBC Sports would start broadcasting WSBK.
