Trellis Frames; Chromoly?

… know this has been asked before; and what I remember is its a "European type of chromoly" not the same as the really expensive stuff they use in quality race car chromoly tubing.

The stuff Ducati used to make the full  trellis race and? monster frames? What would one use to weld to fix Ducati frames?

From my layman's understanding … important because the frames were made to flex in cornering to help in cornering? right? [Dolph]

The Monster frames are made from mild steel (USA term).

They can be oxy-acetylene welded with RG45.
TIG welded with ER70S-2
Wire/MIG with ER70S-6

Ducati uses a steel called ALS450.  It does contain chrome and molybdenum, but do not confuse it with the chromemoly used in fancy steel bicycle frames and on some very high line Ducatis.

Yep, weld and sparks like mild steel.
