Nothing like it, and ii has to be seen in person to get the full effect.

You've never seen drag racing until you have seen it through watering eyes caused by Nitromethane fumes.  [popcorn]

I think it's been well over a decade since I've attended an NHRA event. I cut my teeth as a teen in the early '80s and was a regular until the early 2000s. I'll never forget the first fueler pass I saw, it cannot be described with words adequately.

And then there's having one fire up directly behind you in the pits without knowing it was going to happen....

yeah when they test fired after the rebuild, the breeze blew the exhaust into the hospitality area i was in.  all the other VIPs scattered but I stood strong.  I couldn't taste my lunch or smell anything for about 30 minutes but it was worth it.

It's amazing that people in a normal standing position can get 2 feet of air when the crew stabs the throttle.  ;D
