I did not make a diagram nor did I focus on task or take into account which length bolts go where when removing the clutch cover. Can anyone help me out with a diagram or link or something that defines which length bolts go in which holes. There are short, medium, & long bolts, so 3 different lengths I think. I suppose I could get a stick or something and stuff it in each hole & mark it and find out that way, but I already did that and quite frankly do not trust that method. The parts diagram is no help. Need expert assistance with this. Thanks

Just stick them in the holes, and when they all stick out the same approximate amount...

it's all good.

There are

TWO short ones.

THREE long ones.

AND, ONE slightly shorter than those three long bolts.

Okay?

Now, look at the diagram.

And, look at this cover. Pay particular attention to

11 and 8 o’clock position bolts.

Notice Woodcraft cover DOES NOT have holes at these two positions?

Look at the factory diagram again.
These two bolts at
11 o’clock
8 o’clock

are NOT holding the clutch cover.
They are holding the case that actually holds the clutch.
(Look at the diagram, the case / cover with “DUCATI” logo on it.)

The one you have to be careful is the one at

11 o’clock position.

Only one bolt (out of those 6 bolts) fits properly on this hole.

Two short bolts go into

3 o’clock
6 o’clock

Three long bolts go into

1 o’clock
9 o’clock
8 o’clock

You have left with one bolt, that’s slightly shorter than those three long ones.

That goes into
11 o’clock.
