I'm not sure I want to know...  [laugh]

Lately I've been finding and killing the odd groggy wasp (it's still cool out) inside my shop every few days. Makes me paranoid there's a dormant nest in the building somewhere. This video ratchets up the paranoia a few dozen notches.

I watched this last night and was amazed (like I am by nature) by the engineering skills of these (and many other) beasts.

And hearing them chew into the drywall from 2 feet away.....  yikes.  No thanks.

[laugh] I'm not even sure anymore. This was one of YouTube's suggested videos that's part of the rabbit hole that happens after you watch just about anything.

I was either watching a Borderlands 3 video or a 10 hrs of static video to help with some image retention I'm having on a plasma tv... because of Borderlands 3 :P

We had a wasp nest that I destroyed with the pressure washer a few times before I *thought* they got the hint and left.

Nope...turns out they just relocated to behind the siding and increased the swarm massively. So much so that the stupid vinyl siding started to crack when they were nesting. Eventually, I pulled the siding off to find about 250 wasps waiting for me with malice on their minds and hatred in their hearts.

It was a fierce battle but eventually, with the help of the pressure washer, 10 or so cans of wasp spray, a large broom and a lot of banzai runs (me, not the wasps), I emerged victorious.

Now to figure out how to wipe out the damned Japanese beetles that attack my basil plants every summer...

How about those chickens when they were about to get fed/feeding time!!  They wasted no time.
