Apparently, Dovi has taken the power away from Ducati by his manager informing Ducati that Dovi will not continue with Ducati next year. Just announced on the motogp feed.

Good on him, but he should have been shopping around from the get go. I’m sure that Now the decision for Aprilia to dump Iannone becomes a bit easier.

No mention of Zarco being considered for the ride?

Interview with Battistella, Dovi's manager, says Dovi has no option for next year. He didn't like the distraction of all the contract BS.

Agreed, had it not been for the alien of aliens that is marquez dovi would have been world champion the last 2 years.  I understand ducati wants to get some younger more aggressive riders signed but I would think a lot of the input that got the bike wear it is now came from dovi.
