Nice.

Side comment: that’s a lot of mobile to try and stop with drum brakes...  Any plans to upgrade, or keep it original?

Four wheel disc brakes. All corners were already converted, but I rolled the other front away. I'll have to swap it over.

Plus it gives me an e-brake on the rear axle. Handy, as the transmission has no "park" option, and the tiny drum on the back of the transmission was never all that trusthworthy.

I put it down to ride height.

The wheel placement looks about right.

Tossed the dash and column in to see how it looked. Impossible to tell without the gauges in place:

Offhand I probably need to go with it-the sheet metal all lines up, and I can modify the front mount way more easily than shifting part of the floor 2".

Worst case scenario, I have to shorten the column.

Figured it out!

My buddy came over tonight and after some detective work we figured out that with the longer floor, the floor installation shop (having no reason to believe they had the wrong make the beast with two backsing floor) modified the front mounts. Note the gap that totally should not be there.

This explains why the front mounts (when used) make everything line up wrong. The rear mounts give the correct wheelbase and steering column placement.

So, using the rear mounts and going to simply extend the front frame bits to meet up with the current mounts because no way am I cutting all that stuff up to make something likely less strong than the pros.

Yeah, she didn't even give me a map to the burn unit after.

Some other smartass suggested a vanity plate like "PLLWTLK." make the beast with two backsers.

Remember the boat? Spring has sprung here so I need to get it ready as the little monsters are all fired up to go fish.

Look at that foam. Does it not scream butt luxury? Buxury? Of course it does.

There may have been complaints about the house smelling like contact cement. I said I'd look into it.

Snazzy.

Pulled the drivetrain off the front frame

Transmission got brought to the local rebuilder today.

I managed to kill the Honda on the way back. Yay?

He's got it apart and the major items look good.
