Hey guys, I went ahead and installed the Ohlins "Top Mount" set up that I purchased from another forum member.  This uses the Arrow brackets and an R6 Ohlins damper.

Not bad I must say...pics below:

Looks really nice. Have you been out and noticed any difference?

Nice job and way to think outside the box.  [thumbsup]

Just curious, where did you order the mounting hardware from?
I've been wallowing in my own chaotic and insecure delusions.

Nice.  How many setting levels are there?  How do you know which one to put it on so that steering is not to hard.

Hey Brian, after installing it I only took it on surface streets so I can't really give it an honest review.  I can tell you that the steering was just as precise and smooth as before so nothing negative to report.  Currently the settings are set to the recommended starting point of 10 clicks out from full (16 clicks total).

I did change the dampening to 14 or so and it does stiffen up the steering quite a bit.

Monstermash, I got the system from another forum member (morganf) so I can't say where he got it from.  I can take a look at the parts number tonight and let you know what parts are for the Arrow mounting brackets and the part for the Ohlins Damper. From a quick online search I came up on the following part # 11052DA which is $129.

UCLABiker, there are a total of 16 clicks.  The parts all came with the manufacturer instructions (one for Arrow and one for Ohlins), so for the Ohlins damper, it recommends to start at 10 clicks from full to see how things feel.  If they feel too stiff they recommend going to 8 clicks from full.  I left it at 10 and things where fine.

There is a stretch of road on my way home from work that always gives the bike a good shake, I'll try that this week and see how it does w/the new damper installed.
