Ok im stuck at work right now and there is severe lightning and thunderstorms going on outside.  Long story short my car and my bike are in the shop so my only mode of transport is my brothers CBR!  My boots are waterproof but thats it and my tailbag's waterproof cover melted from the undertail exhaust of the bike.  So what do i do to reduce the 45minutes of drenching im going to endure in about 3 hours?  Garbage bags and newspaper?

+1 on the bags for electronics.

Wrap the tail bag in a trash bag, using some packing tape or duct tape to fasten it.

Also consider a trash bag poncho for yourself.  Just tell yourself that it's stylish.
