Thanks for all the info guys.  [thumbsup]

I make an annual trip to Deals Gap, the roads are fantastic in that area, always been on the Goldwing though.  That will change this year, no way I'm going without the Monster!!  I'll be the idiot doing wheelies in the turns this year.  ;)

Can anyone suggest some saddlebags for the Monster.

Looking through your previous posts, it looks like you have a 2000 M750. If this is the case, and you want to spend the money, Ducati offers/offered some hard bags for your bike. Ducati has brackets that mount to the bike and the panniers look like the ones that came on the ST bikes. I was looking into a set for my wife's '01 M900ie, but the panniers will not mount to a bike with high-mount exhausts.

Any idea of where to start looking for these?

In the last four months, I've only seen one set on eBay. It was a complete, new in the box, setup with yellow bags from a dealer in Canada for a pretty good price ($400-$600, I think). I am not too sure if Ducati still offers the kits or not. I believe they are somewhere around $800 if you have to order them. Other than a Ducati dealer, eBay.

Can anyone suggest some saddlebags for the Monster.  They don't need to be spacious, looks are more important since I probably wont be going to far on it.

How does the Monster work as a sport touring bike?  Do risers help any.  I wasn't really planning to ride very far on it, but it seems comfortable enough to ride all day, so now I'm thinking adding bags, risers and a throttle lock and doing some light traveling on it.

There are what appears to be a complete set of very nice "Mandarin Duck" saddle bags on ebay right now.  OEM for '99> monsters.  Depending on how light you pack, these would work and they're OEM Ducati.  Me, I can do 4-5 days easy with mine and a reasonably sized tank bag.
