I voted yes..... still like to see a 848 based one though, perfect blend of size and power there. Especially for street use.

+1 on the 848 based Monster, voted yes also case I just really want to see what the next Monster is going to look like.

I voted yes.  If I had the spare change I'd buy one in a heart beat.

Long as I'm dreaming, I'd rather have a 1200cc engine, though maybe tuned more for torque.

Of course I what I'd really like to have is my RS with a fully Termi kitted 1098S engine. [thumbsup]

Makes me thing of poor ole Strati and all the work he did to fit a deep sump engine into his S4 before Ducati came out with the S4RS model. :'(

"I'm leaving this one totally stock" - Full Termi kit, Ohlins damper, Pazzo levers, lane splitters, 520 quick change 14/43 gears, DP gold press plate w/open cover, Ductile iron rotors w/cp211 pads.

R90S (hot rod), 80-900SS, Norton 850 MkIII, S4RS

The 1098 and 1098S have the same engine.  Besides you said you didn't like it.

Yes, I say go for it...  But do something about that hideous swingarm...  At least powdercoat it!

I'm still waiting for this hot nakedness:

It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

They could easily fit a Monster style tank and seat.
I gonna wait for the "R" version  ;D

Dave R. from Ducati Seattle built a cool naked SBK from a yellow 748/996 awhile back.  Ducati should ask him for advice!  [thumbsup]

I saw one of those in person.  Very cool bike.

That Nice Guy Beck!

looks so much better with the fairing for reals

Seriously with no wind protection on a naked 1098 how fast can you really go the 848 would be much better as long as the keep the clutch dry with extra  [bacon].

cc's are still 992

I was peeping at the NCR site like a perv and happened to notice

the Macchia Nera concept bike. It has 185 liquid-cooled horses of fury.

Wow! really?

When did I say I didn't like a 1098 Bob? I must a been on drugs. I may have said I couldn't afford one or that I'd want a fully kitted S model over the stock bike, but I sure do like em. [moto]

I must say I don't like the naked 1098 look. I love the look of the S4Rs and the 1098 R. I don't believe I'd like a naked 1098 R.

Ducati  needs to come out w/ a hotter version of their new bikes. A 848 R, S4Rs R, 1098 R, and a 1098 RR.

Step each model up by 15-20 HP.   Dolph
