I have a helmet that I can sell you.

It's a Shark RSX, size M.

Thanks, is that the giant head looking one? That is what I noticed about the shark helmet. While I like the 'crush zone' idea, it seems the helmet shell is way bigger. I can't use one if it is that big because it won't fit in my side bag. If you know otherwise, let me know.

I think I've narrowed it down.
I'm either going to go with the HJC Ben Spies "elbowz" replica for $270 at competition accessories
or the Arai profile.

The HJC is what I used to have and I liked it a lot. Plus I love the shield change on the HJC and I have a few tinted shields already. So financially, this would be the bargain.

I'm inbetween a medium and small for the profile. If I raced every weekend, I'd go for the small no question. But doing a little bit of touring, the medium seems better. I wore a small for about 15 mins and didn't have any red marks or pressure points.
I'm very torn.

By the way, I love motoliberty, but Grif's cycle in lewisville give some pretty good prices and they can order most of what you need. Good folks there, both Will and his Father Jim Griftner.

Wherever you shop, try it on 1st! I'd go for the medium, & put in thicker pads as needed [thumbsup]

+1 for Grif's.  They've been real easy to work with - Alan and I have bought quite a few things from them over the last several months.  Knowledgeable and friendly folks that are about 15 minutes closer than anyone else  [thumbsup]

Lol no it's not, I know which one you're talking about, you're talking about the RSR2 because I thought the same damn thing about it.  No the RSX is definitely NOT a ginormous head looking helmet.  It's rather small actually.  It's probably somewhere in between the size of an Arai and an HJC, but that's just a guesstimate without having something in my hands to do that with.
High above the muckey muck...

Hey Steve-

I know you're headed to NYC...

What did you decide on the bike situation? Did you get a helmet?!?
