*** has offered to let us use his garage to host a mod event for ThelmaLou’s M600

It will be this coming Sunday, August 24th.  The house will be open from 9AM to whatever time it takes to get the job done or the beer runs out or there aren't enough sober people to turn a wrench.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to show up, but you need to send a PM to *** to get on the guest list so he can notify the main gate.

Here’s what’s on the agenda:

  • Raise front ride height.
  • Attempt to raise rear ride height.
  • Synchronize carbs (RichD?)
  • Remove the stock handlebars and install clip-ons below the top triple.
  • Install Rizoma grips on the new clip-ons
  • Transfer over all the controls to the new clip-ons
  • Install new Pazzo levers
  • Install Rizoma bar ends
  • Tail chop, and install Chipo's tail chop mount.
  • Install a belly pan (no mounting hardware).

If these parts show up by Sunday, we also want to:

  • Remove the existing stock slip-on exhaust, and install the DP Conti replicas.
  • Remove the existing stock rearsets, and install after market rearsets.

*and if things go bad, I'll need to borrow someone's trailer to haul the pile of parts to the WareHome for Randy to put Humpty-Dumpty back together again.  [laugh]

OH, badass!  DP Contis are sweet!

If need be I can bring the truck and tote it back to Dallas if need be, but it won't be needed [thumbsup]

I told *** on the phone that I was good for this, but I'm sure he'll make me send a PM as well.... :P

I know he's checking and replying to PM's.  I'm not sure if he's reading the forum though.  But it wouldn't hurt to PM just to be sure.  [thumbsup]

Ohhh... if you do, I think we may add that to our mod-list as well!   [thumbsup]

Good call!

Jim do you still want me to call Jordan up at AMS for the stock specs for ride height?

If you have the time, that would be good information to have!  Thanks for offering.  [beer]

Jim, that's a pile of stuff to do at one sitting. [thumbsup] You mentioned belly pan... is there no mounting hardware? As in you don't have any or the pan doesn't need any? Is it a carbon fiber pan? Lisa might be of some help with that if you have any questions. She mounted up the carbon pan on her 600. But only after realizing that it wasn't going on due to the lack of mounting brackets that weren't supplied with it. Ask her where she got it, maybe AMS???

*** = his screen name--the poster formerly known as "CDC" (which was interpreted by the previous board as "Coastal Ducati Club"). They turned his "CDC" into "***" to censor any possible hint that any other board could possibly exist....  [roll]

Now, of course, we wonder if he still exists....  :P

We've all  heard of spontaneous combustion.

Maybe *** spontaneously evaporated?
