I think my 916SPS burps, farts and backfires because of a serious case of spontaneous combustion. Doesn't CVS have an over the counter fix for that?? ;D

I'd love to come over and help with this project but I really need to save up my kitchen points for dove hunting and Arkansas rides. Besides I should be helping (if you can actually call it that...) Rich move on Saturday which will require me hanging around the house with family on Sunday. I'm sure you have enough ham fisted assistants without me screwing things up by "helping" out. [roll] Sounds like a lot of fun though! [thumbsup] [drink]

Rich must be in a jungle of moving boxes in his loft, he's been quiet on the board

Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy.

Jim, that's a pile of stuff to do at one sitting. [thumbsup] You mentioned belly pan... is there no mounting hardware? As in you don't have any or the pan doesn't need any? Is it a carbon fiber pan? Lisa might be of some help with that if you have any questions. She mounted up the carbon pan on her 600. But only after realizing that it wasn't going on due to the lack of mounting brackets that weren't supplied with it. Ask her where she got it, maybe AMS???

Yes, it's a carbon fiber pan.  It did not come with any hardware, but it does require some.  Time to get creative fabricating something....  [thumbsup]

PM Lisa. Seriously, this sounds like her problem she had with her pan. She's the zen master of Monster 600 carbon belly pan issues. Just ask her, she'll tell you!

Not sure if it is the same as mine, but the only hardware required were longer engine case studs and several spacers - aluminum tubing cut to 1/4" or so - that fit over/around the mounting bolts.  I ended up just about shattering the CF belly pan I've got because it looked like it was a simple add-on using the existing bolts.  Not so fast...

AMS had the required parts that didn't make it from the factory in the same box as the belly pan  [roll]

I'd really like to make this, but talk about Kitchen Points... it's our 23rd wedding anniversary so if I'm there, it'll be with family in tow  ;D

calscrazy

i would love to make it but i have plans. *** is still alive because he called me to see if i was gonna come over. i would love to come over but i am afraid it may entice me to spend a ton of money on a bike i may get rid of next year to an s2r (possibly s4r) . still debating on whether to take my wife up on her upgrade remark or just keep the 695 and maybe get a used low mileage japenese 600 to storm around on on a daily basis.
home will always be between the red and rio!!!

I talked to Scott at AMS.  He says that he'd pretty much need to have her bike there in person and just experiment with various parts that he has in stock.  There's no "one-size-fits-all" answer.  I guess that's what you're trying to tell me - I'm just a little slow sometimes.  ;)

Did you ask for the ride height specs when you talked to Scott?  If not I'll call Jordan tomorrow

Let me know what time this is going down.  Weather permitting, I want to get a bicycle ride in the morning, before I head out to Ft Worth

You did mean "APW" instead of "***" didn't you?  [laugh]
