It was kinda rambling.  I looked back at it and decided the last sentence summed it up best.   I've already mellowed out a bit since then.

I'm just glad to be with the same community, even if it is a new home. Far from being negative, I think it's a positive move that will also give us all a new start to shape this forum the way we want it to be.

The only thing I was annoyed about during the VS transition is losing about 85 private messages that I hadn't backed up - they deleted them!!! Some of these had pictures and other useful info. I wasn't too happy about that but there isn't much that I can do about it.

I still log in sometimes to take a peek.. it's gone down the toilet basically. The NMC has been all but deleted back to december 2007.

Sad.

It hasn't actually been deleted, just merged into one HUGE (8500+ page) thread...

 

If it makes you feel any better we are not the first ones to lose a vibrant community and years of collected knowledge. It doesn't take much searching to find evidence.

I like to look on the bright side, at first I was surprised that what i believed to be a legitimate comment was censored but then I saw it as an opportunity to blow off some steam. It's a positive thing.
I don't think I stepped on anyone's toes but the mods/owners at the new DML. They seemed to take it all very personally, it just made it more fun to bait them.
It will all be forgotten soon and when the dust settles there be another place to chat and swop thoughts on our favorite bike, what could be better than that?
