Seriously, I was just messin with you guys about the geek squad thing, and I appreciate everyone for their areas of excellence....

Furthermore, I think Bryant would do a great job of representing the club, if he's up for it!

Also, other than having an opinion and talking a lot of bs, I can help with many small tasks, and I am eager to do so, but in all honesty....I'm kinda at a different place (with four small kids at home) than some of you guys.......actually it's difficult for me to even make a lot of the rides.  My job in life right now is pretty much - 1.my baby daddy and 2.my babies.  Love the bikes, but keepin it in perspective!!!!

wait what about....*** from the westies. he's a smart guy. that's why i have named him "yoda". however scott,b, and lisa i think would do an eggcellent job. but like scott said are their any legal ramifications. what about the hill country guys do they want in on this action. i love it when you get stuff for free99. however i believe i already have the stickers, patch and pin from when i bought my bike. i got abunch of stuff like 4-6 weeks after i bought it. i put a desmo owners club sticker on my truck and a guy asked me one time if that meant i owned the desmodicci (? for spelling).  uhhhhh how about nooooo! i'm game for whatever it's up to you guys just tell me what you need from me.

Yeah, the more I got to thinking about this, the more I thought we should float this by the THCM folks and see if they care one way or the other.  MurDuc or El Matador may want to be part of this and would give us better representation on that end of the deal.

I also think in addition to Bryant, Charles, Jim or George would be better choices than having essentially three eastside peeps.  I hope they'll chime in with their thoughts one way or the other on this.

Now as far as legal ramifications - are we talking about liability or what?  I'm totally non-business oriented so any insight into to this aspect of forming a DOC would be useful.

Also I think it would be important to establish that the acceptance of Pres, VP, and Secretary positions are ONE YEAR terms only.  Whoever may be interested in the respective position the next year steps up and gets their shot.  If no one wants the position, we need to decide NOW what is going to happen - whether that be the club folding due to lack of interest or, people already in the three "management" positions staying on until someone else wants to do it.

Lastly, could the positions of President, VP and Secretary be used in name only, i.e., a formal DOC setting such as filing for the initial request with Ducati North America for DOC-status?

One more thought on this, my involvement on this "management" "team" is only IF no one else wants to do it.  I'd like to see if some westies or a THCM folk or two would want to play as well.  But like I said before, I'm happy to volunteer for LSD events in the future.

Houston seems to have a pretty active DOC.  Maybe someone could contact them to get their feedback about being part a DOC.

Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy.

jim i am sure the adoption line for this guy stretches around the corner. you could possibly substitute ron but the last guy (mccain) that was hoping to be adopted by him has never been heard from again. could have been the gopher in his avatar but no one has any solid evidence.
