Let me first start off by saying that I have tried searching but cannot dig up a definte answer so I pose it to ya'll...

I have an 01 900SS (pre-red key conspiracy), I need a key switch.

I have found one from an 05 Monster 620.  Will it work?

Thank you

Tim

Are you saying you're looking for the ignition swith?

If so, you could wire up just about everything, but an '05 620 isn't going to plug right into your harness because it has the imobilizer. AFAIK almost any pre-imobilizer Ducati ignition switch should work.

Physically, I'm guessing no.  It looks too different.

Whenever someone has a compatibility question, they should start by look up the parts on the Ducati web site, and compare the parts in question.  [thumbsup]

well bummer...that was a good deal.

The parts catalog...of course!  I didn't even think of it.  Thank you

it is now.  I haven't looked at it before.  Holly Crap is it helpful.

This is the first time I've ever torn into my bike, so I hadn't a need before this.

The imobilzer is not part of the ignition switch.

The imobilzer is not part of the ignition switch.

That's true, it's just a proximity sensor, but I was pretty sure the harness connections were different.

ok....nothing that splicing my old connection onto the new connection won't fix right?
