Just dropped my bike!!!!

Started it up for the first time in weeks...  Rode to the servo, put air in the tyres then looped it into a low side turning right into the side street.   Nothing on the road that I could see...   Just spun up the tyre an low sided....   Buggar....

Damage to clutch...  Both brake levers and bar end.   Oggy knob seems to have save everything else...

Poor me..

DosVerde

That a real bummer Ita, glad the Oggy's did thier job. Now that you have had time to think about it, any idea on how it happened? Did you park the bike on evil green fluid while pumping up the tyres?

I have an original clutch cover not being used at the moment if thats any help.

Spider

I've got one clutch cover and a brake lever. I can drop them off if needed.

I can also help in the procurement of CRG levers from the states.

sorry to hear about it...

she was nasty for not being ridden...you know that right!

Bike is insured and at the doctors awaiting repairs....

sorry to hear that Ita, hope you're OK and you're feeling better about it in a couple of days..

I did a stupid thing a while back in some gravel and ended up with a tank ding.

It starts to feel better with time!

mattyvas

Hey Ita,

It's always the little things that hurt the most.
Hopefully it's your pride more than your bike that is damaged.

ducmeister

That sux Ita!

And it sux even more when you have no idea what happened.  If you were trying to pull a power mono through an oil bath well you asked for it but when you're just tootling along ....  >:( ??? :(

Hope the repairs go well.

Oops sorry, don't want to laugh at other people's misfortunes, it was just a funny story. Just not for you.

Too bad Ita, you won't feel like a dickhead for too much longer.  :-\ You'll get her back all shiny and new lookin'.  [thumbsup]

your right, it is a funny story  [thumbsup] even I think it's funny (now), and the wife has a new camera (and I'm not allowed to take it out on a ride)

just reinforces the fact that it feels better with time (and the story tends to get more and more embellished)

;D

So you _have_ considered the "accept the offers of parts, then take the insurance money and spend it on bling (and thankyou beer)" option, right?
