Well, since I rode it all the way home, I guess I'll give my opinion.  Rode great on the slab.  Never really did any decent twisties - so there's not a day & night difference.  However, something just "felt better" about it.  It may have been my imagination,but I felt more upright (kinda makes sense - but I'm surprise I'd notice 10mm raised).  Compared to my S1K, the Monster feels like I'm flicking around a BMX dirt bicycle, so "squirly" and "jittery" just about sums up my "feel" of any Monster.  The S1K is a tank that reacts like one when compared to every Monster I've ridden. 

Either way - we're much happier to have it at the "proper" elevation on the front end. 

It's a small chunk of change but an Ohlins steering damper makes a HUGE difference. Have on one the S2R1000 and Lisa swears by hers on the 600. They only mount on the left side not on top of the triple or under it but adding it sure made me a happy camper. That and adding an Ohlins shock and having the Showa forks revalved with Ohlins valves were the best improvements I have made to any bike in recent past. The stock Sachs shocks make great paperweights.

great job on the bike guys!!      love the white and the stripe that looks awesome together!!!!  maybe next time we will have to do maintenance day day. i will be doing a belt change here in about 1 month.
