Any thoughts on this bike? Not Ducati related.

Came across this the other day.  My husband and I for some reason have always liked this bike.  What do you think?  Good price?  He is not to far from us and could go look but wanted some input first.  Thanks

What are you gonna use it for? Those bikes are usually pretty comfortable for touring and around town lugging. It looks like its in pretty good condition, just need to get rid of that blue/purple stripe! all green kawai baby!

I like them too, I've heard they were comfortable though. Probably depends largely on your individual measurements though.

We would use it for two up and for rainy days.  We have an Aprilia Futura also but I think we would each enjoy this one just as much.  I won't even ride the Aprilia by my self.  But this one I think I could handle.

I've always had the hots for that bike.....

That's why I bought my monster.  Sporty yet comfy and goes pretty good...

Let us know if you buy it/like it  [thumbsup]

Not familiar w/ that model. Maybe its a version of a ZR1200 which I would imagine ( not knowing much about Kawis ) is an obvious Touring bike.

It looks decent on the outside but who knows about the mechanicals.  Dolph

I agree, I pretty much shun jap bikes in general but even I'll admit the Kawi ZRX has a disctinctive style that is its own.  That is THE color combo for it too.   [thumbsup]

I purchased an '04 for my son @two years ago. It works great for larger riders. My son is 6'6"/205# and fits  well. The Buell footpeg mod gives xtra 1.25" leg room for the rider. The bike is a bit heavy and is way fast. My son has put on @10,000 trouble free miles. His '04 was purchased in perfect condition with less than 5000 miles for $5500. It had a full Muzzy exhaust, pods, jet kit, dyno tune, and some powder coated stuff. I am hoping to get it back someday. Check out the ZRXOA.com site.

It's a good buy. They generally go pretty cheap (I've seen a few around 3K here in Canada, and our market is always more expensive than the US). Not a perfect sport machine, but a good daily rider. And if one is so inclined you can always slap a ZX front end (forks and brakes) onto it with some upgraded shocks to make a pretty fun canyon carver.

+1 on what everyone already said here... I've always liked those ZRX's with their semi-retro styling. I talked to a guy who rode one + he said it's actually a pretty damn fast + fun bike, I say go for it!!  [thumbsup]
