I live west of Chicago, IL in the Sterling/Rock Falls area.  To my knowledge, there is one ducati within a twenty mile radius(there'll be 2 when mine gets here).  Seeing one is like seeing a Ferrari (also rare here).  I had to drive almost 2 hours to the nearest dealer to order mine.  I'd like to know what your area's like, whether it's duc heaven or a desert like here.  Thanks for the input.

Saw my 1st Ducati  ( that I could be sure that was a Ducati )  since I got my 1st one a year ago last April.

I was in disbelief . 1st of all it was Tangerine Orange and it didn't have any decals . It was a 948 that had been repainted and the guy lived in a town near where I live.

I kinda liked being the only Ducati in these here parts . Always got alot of interesting looks and felt like I was the  " smart one "  so to speak.

Well I really don't mind if a whole lot of Ducatis show up ,but I don't think that is going to happen.

I can see it would be a problem for someone looking for some Ducati buddies but for me I'm satisfied to ride by myself and practice my semi RoadRacing skills in the " hills ."

There are so many ducatis in SF that the riders do not even wave to each other.  I was at a gas station a couple of days ago and a dude on another monster pulls up next me.  I say "whats goin on dude"  and all I got back was a blank stare.

tons of Ducs, every kind you can imagine, everywhere...  I have seen a desmo 5 times now I think

I'm about 40 miles south of Seattle. Where I live I see only one 848 and thats only because he works with me. If you drive up to Seattle you will see many Ducatis of every flavor.

Not to many monsters here in Gauteng South Africa, way more SBK`s, it`s a culture thing over here, sbk`s are way more popular than naked bikes [thumbsup]

yeah I think you'll naturally see more in bigger cities, especially on the west coast.

Here in Austin we have our share but they are still relatively uncommon compared to other brands.  Local dealership has been going strong lately though  [thumbsup]

I live in LA and I see them almost everyday, 1098s, Monsters of all shapes and colors.  In my neighborhood I know of 2 Monsters a few blocks away from my house plus a few others I've seen in the area.  Not Monster related, but Josh Herrin lives about 2 blocks away from my house.  I see their RV parked on the street when they come out to the West coast races or are there on summer break.

Living in western Mass. I'm in the midst of Harley haven. Even though there is a Ducati dealer a town away the only other monster I've seen was at the dealership. Tried to find the owner but must have dropped off the bike for service. I did take the MSF with a kid whose father had a small collection of ducs including, (I was told), an Indiana.

I live in Cairns in Northern Australia, there are a few older Monsters running around, as far as I know I have the only S2R 800 up here, and there is only a couple of S4R and S4Rs and maybe 2 S2R 1000's running around up here, but they are a few years old, and most are not well cared for (Mechanically looked after, but cosmetically they need a bit of TLC)

The previous Ducati dealer sold HD, Triumph, KTM and Suzuki, they didn't care about Ducati.
(I went in to buy a 695 and he tried to convince me to take a Harley instead  [bang] )

The new Ducati dealer is great, but the only Monster people want to buy is the 696, they can't keep up with demand for 848/1098/1098s and 1098R.

Hopefully with the 1100 motor arriving in the Monster, that might put a few more on the road up here.

Here in DFW we have hundreds. It is cool to have 15 or 20 together in a group outing.

The local dealer is about 30 miles away.  There's very few in the small town I live in.  1 Monster, and 1 996 is all I see around on a regular basis ~
