DOH!  :o  That sucks dude...time for either a new helmet or a new sticker.  Stickers are much cheaper.

I dropped my helmet tonight too!  Luckily, it was only from about 1 foot, and I got my toes under it just in time!  ;D  Still got a few scratches though.

Upside for you is that you now have a legitimate excuse to go helmet shopping.   [thumbsup]

I was watching Jay Leno's garage. He had a guy on from Arai talking about helmets. He said that unless there is damage to the actual shell, not just the paint, generally you are fine because the was nothing inside the helmet to compress the foam lining. The foam after all is what cushions your head. the shell dissipates the energy and protects the foam...

I thought the insides were designed to compress and absorb impact even w/o significant shell damage? I dunno how far the shell can flex but I imagine that if anything can cause the shell to crack you aren't gonna be a happy camper either way. Then again, a helmet rep should know better and shouldn't be spouting off incorrect information so I'd believe the Arai guy.

i would fear an impact that would split the shell due to a prior impact... that would not be good.

hey look! a new lid!

Iono, getting knocked around by a car can bang you up pretty good bit it's your head.

I just realized that your OP said you just bought a helmet a couple months ago. 2 helmets in a couple months? Gimme money!  ;D I don't like my EXO700 and wanna try a RF1000 but don't wanna dish out that kinda money only a couple months after getting the EXO700.

pillion or partner? I went el cheapo for my pillion helmet. Then again, if I did want to get the RF1000 I could write the EXO off as my pillion helmet. My old pillion lid is only about 3 years old though so it doesn't need to be replaced.

i bought a good cheap one at a bike show... $125 for an ICON Airframe Rubatone, very nice matte finish, in red which is of course the fastest colour. My girl has the RF1000 with the Diabolic design. it was not cheap, but it's HER head so i paid happily.
