Based on the sponsors listed, I'm guessing it's the #620 on the left.  The nice copper and white paint
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

you have to get better pictures of the red and black 620 to show us how he put those body pannels on and such, that is such a clean look the fairing actually lines up with the trellis frame in the front form that picture almost perfectly.  i want to know how to put that on so it works for my bike.

It aligns the same as mine and is attached the same way. You just can't see mine that well in that photo but it aligns perfectly too. He used 1098, I used 999. The 998 bodies don't align quite as well but they do fit with minimal cutting.
All of the bikes pictured use the same method...weld mount tabs onto the frame (just like a Duc superbike) then attach the upper with Dzus or whatever you prefer. Then machine a clamp to fit the front steering head. You then fabricate a fairing stay that attaches to said clamp.
It's not hard if you can fabricate.

Do they run hot?

Yes, until you install an oil cooler. Just one of the many things needed to make them track ready.

from what i can see i personally like how the 1098 body fits on the bike, but then again it could be that the angle is making it look cleaner, and the tail section is interesting.  i like how that looks.

What other mods are done to get 'em track ready?

Re work forks or get new ones, shock, dual disk (unless it already has it), oil cooler, rearsets, raise exhaust, raise rear ride height waaay up (which requires an aftermarket or superbike adjuster), clipons, weld (braze) the weak point around the hinge on the bottom of the fuel tank, mount some type of fairing and number plates (if racing).  These things are bare minimum. You won't have it right without doing these things. Oh and if racing...safety wire.

Recommended....bodywork, this requires a lot of fabrication and time but it makes a big difference. Upgrade Brake master cyl., convert to full floating disks (yours will warp otherwise), quality brake pads, plastic tank, aluminum swingarm, power commander/tuning. These things are recommended but not required.

Taking a stock 620M and doing all the work yourself, expect to spend $3K. That's being thrifty and creative keep in mind. It could easily be more depending on what components you buy or have to pay to get fabricated for you. I fabricated everything myself, and did everything but tuning myself. The original owner of bike 555 in the photo spent $10K. But he payed a shop to do it for him.

Thought I would post a pic of just some of the many 620s that I race with. Why the thread title?...It just makes me laugh when people think of the 620 as being wimpy.  [beer]  And occasionally, people post threads asking about putting superbike tails and bodywork on a Monster. So, here you have a few examples...enjoy!

Dam. Yes I have seen those Pics B4.  [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
I would love to run in that Class with a Ducati. But, I am such a cheap SOB that it just makes more sence to grab one of those SV650's that U guys keep kicking.
There seems to be a "calmer" maybe more track educated rider in that Class.
Anybody got a CHEAP Race ready 620 that they want to part with ? Not likey eh. Hmmm.

Just curious. Are the 620's holding there own on the straight aways ?

Not a chance. When a race ready 620 goes up for sale, it last for minutes...seriously.

Holding their own on the straights?
racing= yes
trackdays= no trophies awarded so it doesn't matter ;)  seriously though, on a straight no, you won't keep up with an SV or middleweight but unless you're racing...who cares. I run one race with SVs and I can beat a few of them, but that's rider not bike.
