Im newer to motorcycles and was wondering if something similar to the below video would be possible on the 696?  Would there be any concerns with doing this...I would love to get rid of the huge cans underneath the seat...

Thanks,

Roy

By chopping / removing the exhaust -- you remove back pressure.  Will the factory ECU compensate?  Will the DP ECU compensate?  No PCIII setup available as of yet to correct the air/fuel mixture systems.

Thanks for the info.  I just checked out your website (motocreations.com) and I think I'm going to order a set of boomtubes for my 696 when you come out with them.   [thumbsup]

Thanks again,

Roy

I think heat might be an issue.

You ain't the only one eagerly anticipating those 696 boomtubes.  Gonna be slick!

i supposed if you get boomtubes you could get saddle bags without worrying about melting them

that would be a plus.

Still haven't seen anyone with a bag on their 696 yet.  And my thread asking for suggestions has received none.  Maybe i should go bump it?
