Well...they are still black and are still round.   [laugh]

I have a set of these on the wife's '01 M900ie and they seem to be pretty decent tires. We've only put 1000 miles on them and haven't done any wet-weather riding, but for dry weather and in the mountain twisties, they seem to stick just as good as any other tire. I generally don't notice much difference between tires, at least not a large enough difference to remember them (the wife and I have gone through about 40 tires in the last three years).

We burn through them fast enough that it gets difficult remembering all of them. I do know that different bikes and thier suspensions seem to like different tires. My Ducatis seem to like Pirelli/Metzelers. The wife's R1 prefers Michelin and hates Dunlop D208s. Her old GSXR love Pirellis and loathes the older Dunlop D220 tires. I am interested to see how many miles we get out of the 2CTs, though. We seem to average around 2500 to any rear tire and 3500 to a front.......well, that's to the cords. We've had some D208s that are to the wear bars in 1600-1800 miles and cords by 2200 miles.

So true. My RS hated (as do I) the Michelin Pilot Powers it came with. I even changed them out early to get on to something diff. The Pirelli Diablo Corsa III's were awesome but I'm really glad to be back on the Metzeler Sportec M3's. OP, Give 'em a try, you just might find something that was missing while riding on the Michelins...

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example!

Yup, Ran them on my R1 and now on my S4RS. I love them. Sticky-good, profile-good, price-good.  [thumbsup]

I run them on aggressive canyons runs. I have not ran them on the track. I was also running the stock Pilot powers  and had no issues with them.

Now days, any good sport tire will be fine.

2CT's kick ass, but are probably overkill for the street unless you're constantly railing twisties.  the regular pilot powers do just fine for 99% of street riding.

You should also look into these. The rear is a triple compound and the front is a double compound. I've been hearing great things about these.

I think once I'm done with my 2ct's, I'll buy a pair of the BT-016. Something new.

$239- shipped. Front and back.

I put a set of 2CT's on this spring. Previously I had the regular Powers.  The rear is worn out after about 3500 miles, and the front is probably good for one more rear, which I just ordered for 155 shipped. Next time I think I will go with the Road2's or something slightly longer wearing. If I want to ride interesting roads I need to drive 3 hours, so that took it's toll on the center of the tire.

I'm noticing a little slipping in transition from the flatter center to the much less worn side, but they've treated me well. Good in rain. Pretty cheap.

I would go with the Pilot Road 2 instead of the Pilot Power.

The Road 2 will give you the same grip in the twisties, but should extend the life of the tire some.

The rear 2ct is also a different carcass than the normal power, you can see the different construction more like the pilot race trackday tires.

2ct powers are also used as intermediate rains, so you know they cant be all that bad in the wet.

I've use several sets of 2 ct's and like em a lot.  They stick like glue and have been very good to me in the rain on very twisty Blue Ridge Mt. roads at pretty serious speed.

I'm running a med. Pilot Power Race front and a reg. Pilot Power rear now (cause that's what the shop had) and even that combo works very well when warm.
