I left my bike in an underground parking lot last night to go play poker at a friends house, left kinda late and when I got home I noticed a 5" scratch thats about an 1/8th" wide on my tank! My tank is black so you can really see it from any angle just short of getting it re-painted is there any way to fix it? Its pretty deep. [bang]

That sucks!! Buy a cover and carry it in a backpack if you know you are going to be parking someplace sketchy.

Try a Geza cover. It is light and compacts to the size of 2 toilet paper rolls. It is only a half cover though. I have one and I use it all the time. It is pricey though. If you go to pashnit.com they have group buys that gives you a discount on the cover. Below is the link

As the fat chick with rhinestone-crusted stretch pants slid out of her Land Rover, squeezed past your bike, a faint "Squeeeee..." could be heard...

We were walking behind a woman with 5 kids the other day heading to a school opening event along a road loaded with parked cars.  I saw the littlest of her kids (~3 y.o.) waving his free hand up and down with what I assumed to be a little toy truck while singing his song of the moment.  As they walked past a big black SUV the little guy waved his hand alongside and I heard a 'skkkhkhckh.....'.  He got about 3 feet along before I looked up and yelled 'WHOA WHOA WHOA!"
That truck in his hand turned out to be a rock that he must've picked up when they got out of the car and his Mom was busy getting the other kids off the road.  Scared the begeezus out of everyone but when the Mom looked back her face simultaneously drained and flushed.  I only hope that she did the right thing but my expectations were low.  I proceeded to lecture my own two kids about what had just transpired and advised them of the monstrous a$$-whoopin that would result from such behavior.

That blows dude. Anger followed by the "Iam gunna puke in my mouth" feeling
About the same time you're dragging your knees through a series of tight left-right-handers on Sunday afternoon, some guy in white shoes is sweating a 3-foot putt. Go figure.
