and upright too  [thumbsup]

I think Casey actually learned something from his failures earlier this year.  His candor about him not having confidence and putting his performance issues on himself was refreshing.  I'm not lining up to hop on his bandwagon, but it was nice to see that side of him at least.

I think it was designed by a consulting firm at least that was the rumor when the talk of a race in Indy began.

i think the guy that asked the question may not know it's the indy f1 circuit reversed with some "slight" modifications.

250 race was cancelled due to nasty weather.

So what exactly did I record?  [laugh]

That was a strange race, but great. I was pulling for Nicky the whole time.

Somebody tell me why Ben Spies doenst have  Loris Capparossis' seat in 2009?

What was up with Ralph and Kevin at the very beginning of the broadcast. Didnt they realize they were on wide screen 16:9 hi def? They were standing way too close together face to face. They looked like they were gonna start making out at any second. Even my wife thought it was a bit ghey. I think Kevin got lessons on how to talk on TV. He did a much better job than he ever has before.

That's how traffic has moved in Indianapolis after races for over 10 years that I know of.

Trust me, if moves well...............

Yea a few people that need to go against the grain but the other 95,950 fans get out fast.  I wish other sporting events would take notes.

What happened to #52?

he missed T1 in about lap 5 or 6.. there was paved run-off that took him out to the oval so he didn't go down.

They need to put some speakers in the infield.  If you were not in Ducati Island you could hardly hear the announcers.

could hear 'em fine from where i was... ;)

edit: and actually, come to think of it, that was not such a good thing.  greg white as infield announcer is 10x worse than greg white as tv announcer.  PAINFUL.

The staff and local police did an incredible job moving traffic to boot

coming in, yes.  leaving, that was not my experience.

politics, history, etc.  Rizla royally screwed up on that one.  Hope he spanks them on the Honda repeatedly next year.
Like this is the racing, no?

I beg to differ.

Leaving from the infield, you had no choice but to take a left onto 16th.

Then all of the cross streets were blocked-off for a couple of miles, keeping you from turning to double back.

With no signage to give any indication of how to get back to the west, it took forever winding through side streets to get back to my hotel.
you have to understand all the ppl sitting in the paddock area were leaving going 16th west
this i done this way so traffic get distributed on I465, a bit of all direction ,if they would have let us go west coming from the IMS underpass we would have been sitting in a traffic jam for hrs.

Spidey

Classic Rossi and Colin:

Q: Question for Valentino. There's been very many disappointed girls because you said if you won the race you were going to run naked down the home straight.

HAYDEN: Yes, yes, I do remember, also. (Laughter)

Q: I just wonder what happened after that Thursday comment.

ROSSI: The idea was from Colin (Edwards), I remember. (Laughter) And Friday night they say to me, and they say maybe it's better for everybody that if I win my umbrella girl get naked on the straight. (Laughter)

MODERATOR: Thank you. Third place, ladies and gentlemen, his second podium in succession, Jorge Lorenzo. Jorge, first time you've been on the podium in the wet your whole career.

JORGE LORENZO: Yeah, it is true. It is true because also in the Spanish Championship I haven't got any podium, European Championship, also, no podium in the rain. And I think in the Balioto Championship, also, no podium. (Laughter)

I was so, personally I didn't want to race before the race because I was so safe in my motor home and so hot with Hector that I thought I prefer not to race.

What the hell is he talking about?  ???

I'm not sure if you're serious but if so...

Well, his english isn't quite there yet.  But, he's alluding to the fact that he was warm and cozy and safe in his motorhome (with his manager I believe) and that the weather was so bad, and since he's not very good in inclement weather, that they thought it would be better to stay in.  He was trying to make a joke.
