Anyone ever use this stuff? The Clarke tank on my GasGas is messed up. I think the PO cross threaded a couple fuel pump bolts, because when I tried installing it (he had put the stock tank back on before I bought it) the bolts seized in the nuts and they started spinning in the tank  [bang]
The only way to remove the pump was to cut the flange off that holds the pump in.
The tank is damaged on two nuts. The plastic on the inside is broken off from the nuts spinning.

I sure don't have $200 for a new tank, and last night my low level light came on with the stocker at 23 miles. Sure, a fillup that only needs .8 gallons is nice, but in Oct when I go trail riding with a friend, I don't think either of us would be amused. Anyone have experience with this stuff? I've used the metal type stuff on oil pans and it worked great. I'd just hate to see it not bond properly to the plastic and break loose when riding.

I'd test it before I put it in service.

Do you know what type of plastic it is?

No clue. from what I can find on their website, Clarke refers to the tank as.....Plastic.
I'll email them and ask for suggestions on repair.
Autozone apparently has the JB stuff so it will be a cheap attempt.
