Man, I leave the country for a week and the economy crumbles!  What gives?

Well, at least one good thing happened while I was away:  http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/09/16/sports/MOT-Ducati-Hayden.php

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Omigosh.  That tread was hilarious.  At least I have the excuse of being out of the country w/o an internet connection for the past 2 weeks.

Actually how I saw it was in my hotel room in Guam.  I was watching CNN and the news scrolled by on the bottom of the screen.  Otherwise, I would have been clueless.

Now, did I miss any other notable news, like which bike you've decided on!  I'm actually thinking about getting a Harley.  I still love the Nightster.

I do too.  I actually like that slow pace . . . and the people there are so friendly.  I hope to go back sometime soon.

Where were you staying?  I am particularly fond of the Hyatt, though their food selection is kinda crap.  Waterslides make everything better.

I stayed at the Westin.  The room was really nice and modern.  (I think the entire hotel was recently renovated.)  It also has a great location, but I prefer the lay out of the Hilton.

I didn't know my next bike, whatever it may be, would be notable news. At any rate there is no news about that, and there won't be until, if , the Monster is sold.  I think a Nightster would be pretty cool too but no Harleys for me at this point. I did look at some of them last week but nothing grabbed me enough.

On my way to work this morning I passed by a parked 883 Low.  I actually stopped and reversed to get a better look (side street in Kakaako at 6am) -- I liked it. Much more so than the Nightster. The Nightster has those funky gaiters on the front forks whereas the Low has a very clean front end. The 1200 Low looks good too but I prefer the tank style on the 883. I thought the 883 Low was super good looking.  [thumbsup]

Too bad it's still a Harley = doesn't go, doesn't stop and doesn't turn.  [laugh]
