Remember when this thread would go on forever and ever with seemingly banalities that gave us something to inspire a spit take while enjoying our morning coffee?

I miss those days.

[laugh]

No, that's a phrase I came up with back when I lived in the dorms at Carolina.

A couple of girls and I discovered a program that read aloud any incoming messages you had with AIM.

So we started sending each other absurd, vulgar messages just to hear our computers read them.

That was our collective favorite.   ;D

Ahh, good to know.

I think I'm finally shaking the cold I caught in Indy and took the bikes out for a ride. It felt good to be on 2 wheels after all the driving I did the last 2 weeks.

Yeah, I started coming down with a cold on the drive back too.

I think I have about 2 days left until I'm back to 100%.

I've been out riding today too.  I'm lovin the Hyper.

I'd like to have scored a demo ride on one at Indy. They looks like they'd be a lot of fun.

I took the Monster out after playing with the brakes, and re-adjusting the chain tension and tire pressures. It rides much better now. Then I came back, hopped on the Supersport and took it around for a while. The differences in those two bikes is amazing. The Monster seems to be so much more responsive to direction changes. I guess it's the wide handlebars and light weight, but it's just so much more "flickable"

The Supersport on the other hand just effortlessly goes fast. It doesn't like to cruise, it just wants to accelerate, brake, turn, and then accelerate again. The dry clutch is a lot stiffer than the wet clutch on the Monster. My left hand started to cramp pretty bad. I'm going to have to practice the clutchless shifting.

I think I may have to do that over the winter.

Removing two of the clutch springs made a big difference for me, but that is with the stainless steel clutch springs.

Before I got the SpeedyMoto stainless steel springs, I tried taking two of the springs out and got some clutch slip during hard accel.  Most people don't get any slip with the stock springs, but I think my stock springs were shot.  I also have the Evoluzione slave.  With the slave and springs removed, the clutch pull is very light and it never slips.

My 750 had a stiff pull.  I'm kinda used to it thought and I'll probably spend the money on something else since I've already trained my hand to using it.

Good ride this weekend, but it's getting chilly high up in these mountains ~
