Did you check the Flux Capacitor?  [cheeky]

I tried to, but I'm having a hard time to figure out if it still works at all - after flipping it upside down to avoid the uneven motion.

Mine makes a noise also, but I'M sure my noise is the fuel cap.

It kinda sounds like:  "pooot'

Uh-oh. Now your prudpusperator valve may stick open, and we all know what that means.  :o

That's where you are wrong, sorry to say  [bang] All Euro3 bikes has the return/backfire valve fitted with ball bearings, so such a scenario is not very likely to happen.

And, it may just be normal. Sometimes I can hear mine make noise.

My buddy's 07 Triumph Tiger sounds like it's using a dialup modem everytime he shuts it off. Did that the day he brought it home, and still does it every time.

Next time it happens tell your bike you'd rather play Tic Tac Toe than Global Thermonuclear War.

Mine does the same thing. It sounds like a chair being pulled out from a table (only much quieter) or like a whine of some sort.  Not the gas cap.
