I think Yamaha uses Red, Blue a lot as a factory color usually either color with white and black. I personally always thought Yellow was the real Yamaha color.

For indy black shirt with DMF logo [thumbsup]
2000 M750 Dark(Black Betty); 88 FZR400

The Yamaha team in WSBK is not a factory team, that is Yamaha Italy (I think?).  The only other times I can think of red Yammys is the old Marlboro days in GP (but I'm sure there are plenty more).

WSBK Yamaha team are run by Yamaha Italy, and headed by Massimo Meregali, there racing colours have always been red, plus the main sponsor of the team are Santander Consumer Bank whose corporate colours are red, white and black.
As a matter of interest Mr Haga speaks almost fluent Italian, not bad for a Japanese racer. [thumbsup]
Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.
