SCUSATE IL RITARDO

When I first saw that, I thought it meant "excuse me retard."  That would've been hilarious, but I don't think Casey would've liked it too much. ;)

That was awesome.  Great race (well for the most part).  I have no idea what the desk was all about, but I'm sure Italians are laughing their asses off.

Casey looked very genuine in his congratulations to Rossi, so that was nice to see.

Also, be sure to watch the 250s tomorrow as well, it was a hell of a race.

I think he had to pay a fine because  he was 2 years behind...

SCUSATE IL RITARDO means "sorry for the delay.."
Billy: We did it, man. We did it, we did it. We're rich, man. We're retirin' in Florida now, mister....
Captain America: You know Billy, we blew it....

that may have been him becoming the mayor of tavullia.

fantastic race :D.  was that the last track left he hadn't won on?

stoner re-apologized to pedro once the race was over.. good on 'im.

+1 on those total morons @ suzuki.
Like this is the racing, no?

Blah....

the race was more of the same up front.

Hayden getting out early only to let 4 riders by.  He doesn't even look like he is trying.   [bang]  I hope he steps it up next year on the Duc.

oh-hum fight between Rossi/Stoner, and then Rossi just runs away.

Rossi was consistantly off the brakes and on the throtle before Stoner.

Stoner's too polite.  He should just let Pedro deal with his close pass.

He has to validate his whining from Laguna and prove he's not a hard racer.

Good race, gratz to Rossi for another championship  [clap]

That was an interesting pass attempt on Pedro by Jorge at the end.

He had already won on every track.  He only needed Laguna, Indy and Misano in order to have them all.  He had won at Motegi on the Honda 500 in 2001 I think.

Motegi was the only track left that he hadn't won on a 4-stroke.

Isn't that basically what I just said?

No.

You said he had already won on every track.

And then specified what bike he was on when he won at that particular one.

I pointed out that while he had won there on that bike, it was the only course at which he had not also won on a 4-stroke.

Your statement didn't preclude the possibility that there were other tracks which had only been won on 500cc bikes as well, when in fact Rossi has now won on every track in the modern era of MotoGP.

Not to split hairs or anything.   :P

...hasn't won at Balatonring.    ;)

He is tied for most wins there though.   :P

Maybe it was just the feed I was watching, but the bikes seemed to be getting much more chatter on braking than usual.  That course just looks soooooo fast.

Earlier on, I thought the midget was going to run away with it.  You know how sometimes he just jumps out front and leaves everyone in the dust?  I really thought it was going to be one of those races.  Not so.  Fun to watch.   [moto]

I have no idea how Lorenzo kept it upright after his front tire hit the dwarf's rear.  No idea.  BTW, Lorenzo's body positioning is amazing.  His back is perfectly parallel to the centerline of the bike.

As much as I am a huge Stoner fan, after two years of unRossi-like championship results, Rossi is back.  Bravo.  [clap]  When the machinery is close, Rossi wins the championship.  When there are tire or engine problems that take him out of a bunch of races and open the door, others win the championship.
