Ok I'm sure this is on here some where but I did a search and didn't find any discernible information.

I have a new 07 S4R T

In about 40 miles, I will hit 600 miles.  I live about 5 1/2 hours from a dealership, and I don't see any reason to pay them to change my oil.

1.  Where do I find (book recommended) Shell Advance Ultra 4 oil?
2.  Where do I find/What size Filter?
3.  According to the book, "MainT" is going to appear on the screen letting me know that I've reached a Maintenance interval.  How do I let the bike know that the maintenance is complete?  I don't want to ride from now on seeing MainT on the screen
4.  Engine hot or Cold?  On my last bike you ran bike about 10 min before hand.  The Duc manual doesn't say.
5.  Any special tools, or knowledge you guys think I should have, let me know.

It is much appreciated

1.  Dunno.  I just use good synthetic oil.
2.  It's a standard Ducati filter.  Get it at a dealer, online or even at your local Cyclegear.  The prices are all about the same.
3.  If the s4rT has the same gauges as the other immobilizer bikes, hold down the left button.  Turn key on.  Turn key off.  The MAINT will go away.
4.  Run the engine beforehand to heat up the oil and to get all the dirt and grime mixed in the oil.  It doesn't have to be blazing hot, but you want the oil to flow freely.
5.  No special knowledge.  Check out Chris Kelley's video on how to change your oil.  Also, you may need a 14mm hex socket for the oil screen.  I don't know what tool is required to get at the oil screen in the 999 motor.

Addendum:

5. Oil screen is accessed from the small cover on the very bottom of the sump.
4 bolts go in from the bottom. They are very soft, virtually impossible to get 'em out without rounding out the hex in 'em.
Replace with button heads.
The screen is a bit of a challenge to get out.

You will probably have to go to Europe for Shell Advance anything.  Any good synthetic of proper viscosity will be fine.  Opinions differ, but if you are a worrier get motorcycle specific oil.

Is the oil screen removal only done at the 600 mile service?  I noticed that CK does not do that on his video.  How come?

K&N also makes a filter that fits - KN-153 is the part #.  Amsoil also makes filters that fit but I can't remember the part number off hand.

Oil screen removal is marked for some of the service intervals like 600, 6000 etc.  It's not mandated for every oil change.  So that probably part of the reason why it's not on the video.  Also, dumping the oil and oil filter is pretty universal to all Monsters.  The oil pump screen is not.  There's a number of different configurations so now he'd be looking at a bunch more segments and finding the correct bike for that segment.  For example, my 900 I just need a socket.  On my former 620 I needed to remove a wire, then use a soccket then a big ass allen...

There is more to the 600 mile service than just changing your oil.

So what's the point of the oil screen?  You remove it, clean it and put it back on?

Howie

The oil screen protects the oil pump from debris.  Oil travels from the sump through the screen to the pump.

Yes, the oil screen is tight.  I had to use a 1/2 in. ratchet with an extension on it to break it loose!!
When you put it back in,  the manual says min. of 38 NM  !!
I also discovered that by tilting the bike over on its right side I  drained about 1/2 cup of dirty oil
Now that I know this , I will be pulling my screen on each change.
What good is an oil change if you dont get all the crud out ?
I know, I know !   Now I'm getting annal !! But I want to take good care of my Italian Mistress !
