Anyone out there using a Firstgear Kilimanjaro 4.0 3/4 length jacket?  I just got such a good deal on one that I couldn't afford not tio buy it.  Not sure how I feel about the 3/4 length.  I'm sure I'll get over it the first time I'm not freezing my ass off riding in the winter.

If anyone has any experience with this jacket, let me know what you think.

That's a cool looking winter jacket. how much is a deal too good to pass up?

I've had Firstgear Kilimanjaro stuff for years now and love it.  I finally got a new set of pants with the removable liner and my jacket's still going strong after six years.  I think you'll dig it so congrats on the good deal.
If it's got two wheels and a motor, I like it!

I had a Kilimanjaro back in 2001-2002.  It was very highly regarded at the time and did a great job of keeping me warm and dry in the winter.  Unfortunately, after that first riding season I realized it was too big, especially when I took out the liner in the summer, so I bought some Dainese leather.  Not sure where it is now actually... hmm, probably in storage, or maybe still loaned to a friend...

Not quite sure what the 3/4 means?  Maybe 3/4 of the normal Kilimanjaro length?  Mine was longish, skirted and I could actually sit on the hem (maybe because it was a size too large), which kept the cold wind from blowing up by back!

I guess 3/4 length means that it is skirted.  I got it for $150 locally (CycleGear), it was a closeout that someone had returned.  I think the regular closeout price was $199, down from $299.

I think the 3/4 length is the way to go for real cold weather gear. Otherwise you get that 'cold lower back' syndrome that can take hours to shake... Been there many times & it often would take soaking in the tub to bring core temps back up... 3/4 length in cold weather = happy rider!
