Just another reminder of why it's important to have good safety gear... this guy was in a cage, and we're on bikes, sure, but he left the track at 95 mph after a brake failure (think: entering PIR turn 1 after a brake failure  )... just imagine your own body flipping through the air like that...  that expensive suit feels a lot more worthwhile now, doesn't it?

I was trying to find a way to not spend $1000 on a Dainese Laguna Seca suit.  After seeing crash pics like these, it has reminded me that a thousand bucks for proper safety gear is actually quite a good deal.
