Hey guys,
after Sunday's ride my arse was killing me and there are two options.  One is buy an expensive Sargeant seat and the other is Ducati's touring seat.  My problem is the stocker keeps pushing me forward.  And before you give me hell about my little tush......I ride about 15k per year on my Roadstar alone, but of course she has a very expensive seat.  Now that I have a Duc again I want to spoil her.
So, who has tested both or even one to render their opinions?  And please be frank ok.

Here is what I know. The Ducati factory "comfort" seat rocks, so they say. Check the main board for seat comments. I have seen complaints about the Sargeants and Corbins. But I have used Corbins for years on many different bikes with no troubles. Most recently on my Hayden Replica RC51 Honda. It's 100% better than the covered plank of wood that came stock. I still suggest the main board for opinions but the locals that have gone with the factory "comfort" seat say it is great. I'm this close to ordering one for my S2R1000 and probably will soon.

WOW, that's cheap.  After all the stuff I've purchased from Jeff this may be just the ticket.  I'll call him tomorrow and see if he has any in stock.

  I've tried both - cdc and I traded seats for a while.  So he can give his two cents when he is back in town (we miss you Charles) 
  I like the DP seat the best because it's more narrow up front and I like the material it's made out of - it's    grippy. Also the groove for your rump is  a bit more defined which makes it easier to stay back in seat.  It is lower then the Sargeant(and stock) which may or may not be an issue for you.
The Sargeant is a nice seat -  taller then stock if you need some height.

Thanks for the offer friend.  I'll call Jeff and if he has one great BUT if he doesn't I'll sit on yours to be sure.  Will you be at track day?

I bought the DP touring seat for my 696 just before the ride on Sunday and I have to say it was brilliant. My arse was pain free all day but Amy said hers was a little sore after the ride back, I do not know what she was doing back there  . The seat on the 696 raises the front by about 3 inches so it stop you from being pushed forward, It also stopped Amy from sliding into me every time I braked.
