Sounds like all this backs up everything I have heard and read. The DP "comfy" seat is the cat's meow. [thumbsup] I might just have to get one myself. I have some Speedymoto handlebar riser clamps that I need to mount up. Maybe those and the DP seat will make the S2R1K more "Lazy-Boy" for me. I have never liked the bend of the stock bars... ever. But because they are thicker at the clamps points than normal it does make them hard to replace... and no, I do not want clips on. I believe I have enough bikes with those. :P That's the reason I got the Monster. It was to go in the other direction, as in standard style bikes. I'm thinking a minor "modding" will do the trick. [thumbsup]

I didn't know you had a monster??
Well... That's Cool! Maaaaybe someday I'll get to see it  [moto]

One other thing about the DP seat.  It very likely won't fit when you first put it on, so don't freak out!  You may need to put a couple washers under the latch mechanism to bump it up.  The knob that slides into it is shorter on the DP gel seat than stock, so I had to bump up my latch to marry em up.

I should do that [roll] - mine fits but it's a pain in the arse to get latched

Thanks Jester!  [thumbsup]

I am really pleased with my Seargent seat. I am 6'2 and the extra hieght above stock is much appreciated!  And it seems to get more comfortable the longer I have it.  Kind of learns your butt [laugh] definately better tham stock.

O-Kaaaaay... so I'm coming in late to this party but I'll pipe up with my .02 :

I replaced my stock 620 seat with a Corbin.  It never got comfortable, or "broken in."  I had it on my bike for roughly 2,000 miles.  It was also considerably wider where the seat meets the tank, which I didn't like at all.  Sold the Corbin here on the "Marketplace" forum and just went back to stock.

Then I saw the DP "Comfort"  seat and gave it a try (picked it up from AMS a little more than a year ago for around $200 incl tax).  Night and day difference - greatest thing since sliced bread.

I'm not kidding.  Go for it!    [beer]

I'm the minority here, I didn't mind the stock seat at all.  I thought it let you move around laterally really easily.

The seat on my S4R isn't as plush as a recliner, but I never got off of it thinking I wish it were softer....... (stock seat)
